Brunch and Learn: Responding to Dementia Related Expressive Actions
What Is Brunch & Learn?
- Free and open to the community
- Held monthly on the 4th Tuesday of each month, 9:00–10:30 AM
- Hosted at St. Paul Elder Services – Haen Community Center
- Limited space available (registration required)
- Topics will rotate monthly and be announced in advance. You’re welcome to attend one session or all of them—whatever fits your interests and schedule.
August Topic: Responding to Dementia Related Expressive Actions
- This Alzheimer’s Association presentation explores why expressive actions occur in people living with dementia and how caregivers can better understand what those actions are communicating. Participants learn practical strategies for responding with empathy, reducing distress, and creating more supportive interactions.
