GRRD Running of the Bulls Bar Crawl

Grand Raggidy Roller Derby is partnering up with local downtown Grand Rapids restaurants and bars to bring back a much-loved and anticipated event. On September 9th, a pack of Grand Raggidy Roller Derby members dressed as BULLS (on skates!) will chase Runners (you!) as they make their way from bar-to-bar. The Bulls won't be afraid to use their horns (foam pool noodles and inflatable bats) to motivate you to RUN!

 

But don’t fret! Runners will be able to take cover, regroup, and re-hydrate at several of downtown Grand Rapids’ favorite bars:
-Peppinos
-Grand Rapids Brewing Company
-Hopcat
-Stella's Lounge

Once inside the bars, everyone is in a SAFE zone! The Grand Raggidy Bulls will put down their weapons and pick up a refreshment as they plot their next move. There are games and challenges to participate in at each bar. Participating restaurants and bars will also have food and drink specials.

But be forewarned, the game is back ON once outside! As Runners are being chased between bars, they can try to complete a mash-up scavenger hunt / bingo game by being sneaky and juking around the angry Bulls.

The crawl begins at Peppino’s with registration starting at 11:00 AM. After a pint of beer and the opening “Blessing of the Bulls,” registered runners will be turned loose on the pub crawl route at high noon! The fun times will keep on rolling until we find ourselves back at Peppino's for an after-party at 3:00 PM. Prizes will be awarded for categories such as Best Runner Costume, Best Group Costume, and Best Bull Costume.

All money raised and donated goes to Grand Raggidy Roller Derby to assist with league travel and game expenses.
