Free@3 PRESENTS: ADVENT CONCERT - Organ
Richard VanOss was the organist here at First Reformed Church from September 1985 until his retirement in the Fall of 2023. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Hope College (1975), where he studied organ with Roger Rietberg, and a Master of Education degree from Grand Valley State University (2002). He taught in the Ravenna Public Schools for 35 years and the Zeeland Public Schools for 4 years. Rick was one of the founding members of the Holland Area Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (AGO). He has performed at organ recitals in several area churches as well as at Hope College. This is the 41st recital marking the beginning of the Advent season that he has presented at First Reformed Church.
Selections of music include "The Angel Gabriel from Heaven Came", "O Little Town of Bethlehem" and "Carol of the Bells" among other holiday favorites.
We hope to see you there! The concert is free of charge and open to the public.
