"California Naturally" Works by Pat Accorinti and Ronen Vainish

Viewpoints Gallery is proud to feature the latest works by jewelry artist Pat Accorinti and glass artist Ronen Vainish. Native California flora and fauna provide endless inspiration for Pat Accorinti’s stunning wearable art and Ronen Vainish’s colorful glass art pieces. Designing beautiful jewelry for over 40 years, Pat’s colorful new necklaces and earrings are created with enameling techniques such as cloisonné, champlevé and painting with enamels. Set in sterling silver and embellished with gemstones, each piece makes a beautiful statement and reflects Pat’s love of California. Pat earned a Bachelor’s of Art degree at San Jose State with an emphasis in arts education. She taught art for over 15 years in San Jose high schools before earning a Master’s in Library Media and moving into the school library as a Library Technology Teacher at Cupertino High School. In retirement, Pat is focusing on her first love, making jewelry. She studies with master teachers throughout the country and teaches in her home studio. She is an active member of the Monterey Bay Metal Arts Guild. Pat is proud to show her work at Viewpoints Gallery in Los Altos. View her jewelry and learn more at http://accorintidesigns.com and viewpointsgallery.com Ronen Vainish is making his debut at Viewpoints Gallery with a stunning exhibition of bright and beautiful blown glass pieces. Inspired by native California plants and flowers, Ronen’s exhibit reflects his love of and expertise in glass blowing. Ronen, who has been blowing glass for over eight years, began the craft after an inspiring visit to Murano in Venice. He began glass blowing at the Bay Area Glass Institute (BAGI) in San Jose, where he continues his studio work today. Ronen’s inspiration comes from how the glass itself reacts to light: “I was fascinated by the depth of the colors and the ability to play with the optical effect as the light travels through the glass. My goal is to create objects that stand out with bright colors and interesting optical effects.” To create these outstanding pieces, Ronen uses color techniques such as canes Murini, color overlay and frit. Ronen’s pieces take the shape of vases, bowls, pitchers and cups, making them both beautiful and useful. For more information about Ronen’s work, please see rvainish.fineartstudioonline.com and viewpointsgallery.com.
