The Jets are 4-3 despite leading for 126 combined offensive and defensive snaps this season, the fifth fewest in the NFL. The four teams with fewer such snaps entering this week (Packers, Giants, Panthers and Cardinals) were a combined 6-24 this season and none of them were better than 2-5. Debate among yourselves if you buy the Seattle Seahawks and Detroit Lions as true Super Bowl contenders, but they each sat at 5-2 and atop their respective divisions when they arrived in Baltimore — Detroit in Week 7; Seattle in Week 9. The Baltimore Ravens absolutely demolished them both. Sunday, it was a 37-3 romp over the Seahawks in what was supposed the marquee matchup of the NFL’s early afternoon slate. Instead, that game was teetering on the brink of a blowout at halftime and turned into a full-scale runaway by the third quarter. Seattle’s offense — which, admittedly, hasn’t been as impressive during the past four weeks as it was to begin this season — mustered all of 151 yards. It had six first downs, or one fewer than the number of Ravens scoring drives. “It’s great,” Baltimore coach John Harbaugh said. “Because as a coach, it’s fulfilling because all the things you work on, all the things the guys work on, you see it transfer onto the field in a game. That’s what you’re excited about, because they have success — the guys have success doing things that you want. “But you also understand that it’s one win. You don’t get credit for more than one win, no matter what the score is. Our job is to stack wins.” The Ravens are looking pretty good on that front, too, having run off four consecutive victories to stand atop a highly competitive AFC North. New York tight end Tyler Conklin isn’t a primary pass catcher in the Jets offense, as he saw only two targets last week and didn’t catch either of them, but he has posted 24+ receiving yards in all but two contests this season, including three games with 50+ yards. That is an important figure because the over/under in receiving yards for Conklin currently sits at 25.5, with -115 odds on either side of the wager (per pregame betting at BetMGM). Conklin is already a candidate to reach that total, but he looks like a very strong candidate once one factors in the Chargers pass defense. Los Angeles ranked last in the league in PPR PPG allowed to tight ends in Weeks 5-8, as the Chargers defense gave up 26 completions in 28 tight end targets for 296 yards (92.9 percent completion rate, 10.6 YPT) and one touchdown. The big news for the Chargers: WR Jalen Guyton (knee) and DL Otito Ogbonnia (knee) are both active tonight for the first time this season. Guyton and Ogbonnia started the season on the physically-unable-to-perform list. Guyton has not played since Week 3 of 2022 because of a torn ACL. Ogbonnia has not played since Week 10 of 2022 because of a ruptured patellar tendon. Guyton is back at an important time for the Chargers’ receiver room. Mike Williams landed on IR after Week 3 with a torn ACL, and Joshua Palmer was placed on IR on Sunday with a knee injury he aggravated in a Week 8 loss to the Bears — two of the Chargers’ top three receivers. Rookie Quentin Johnston will see an increased role amid the injuries. The Chargers still needed additional receiver depth, and Guyton provides that. Guyton is at his best when stretching the field vertically. Ogbonnia and Guyton were both listed as questionable for the game. Defensive lineman Sebastian Joseph-Day (illness), defensive lineman Morgan Fox (oblique), linebacker Kenneth Murray (shoulder) and linebacker Eric Kendricks (ribs) were also questionable, but all four players are active. One other note: The Chargers will only have two running backs up for the game, with both Dotson and Spiller inactive: Austin Ekeler and Joshua Kelley. Something to monitor in case of an injury.
