Glass Demo: Join Us for Open Studios Night on June 14 at SiNaCa Studios
Ever wondered how glass art is made? Come and be mesmerized as the SiNaCa team brings their creative magic to life right before your eyes. This year, we're transforming a cold treat into a stunning glass masterpiece—a one-of-a-kind glass piggy bank you won't want to miss. Previous creations, like the extraordinary "The BLIZZARD," have left audiences in awe. So, what unique and captivating design will we craft this year?
This isn't just a showcase of skill and artistry. Our Open Studios Night offers you a chance to witness the intricate process of glassmaking, from the initial spark of inspiration to the final flourish of the finished piece. Feel the heat of the furnace and see the molten glass take shape, guided by the expert hands of our resident artists.
The glass piggy bank we create is used to collect donations all year long, culminating in an exciting raffle on June 22, 2024. At that time, one lucky participant will get to "smash the bank" and release the contributions—all of which go towards upgrading our furnace and maintaining our historic building on Magnolia Avenue.
SiNaCa Studios School of Glass and Gallery, a nonprofit dedicated to glassmaking, is the only public access glass studio in North Texas. Since 2011, we've introduced over 30,000 community members to the wonders of glass art through our educational classes, community engagement programs, and artist support workshops. Nestled in Fort Worth’s Near Southside district, we are passionate about reviving the #GlassRootsRevival and fostering a vibrant, artistic community.
