SceneShop's Annual "A Fifth Of Christmas"
It's been 20 years since SceneShop presented our first "A Fifth of Christmas" at Arts Fifth Avenue. In that time, we have earned many laughs, provoked a few tears, offered more than a few surprises, enjoyed good crowds (even a few sell-outs!), and never served a single slice of fruitcake or one candy cane. Before that first show, we wondered if there was an audience for what we billed as a "holiday show for grown-ups." The answer seemed- and seems - to be "yes."
We think there's a place for some irreverence and a bit of holiday snark. We offer new short theatrical works, eclectic live music, and a relaxed evening for those who might need a break from more traditional holiday entertainment. With "adult beverages" and a relaxed, funky ambience, ARTS FIFTH AVENUE is the perfect place for the kind of evening SceneShop aims to craft.
