What is Therapeutic Yoga?
Therapeutic Yoga is the practice of integrating the mind and body through gentle movement and intentional breathing practices to create a felt sense of safety in the body.
Each therapeutic yoga session includes an opportunity for choice and action through conscious breathing, present moment awareness, mindfulness in movement, and integrative rest.
Benefits of therapeutic yoga for better mental health specifically developed for those who suffer from PTSD, trauma or chronic stress:
Create awareness through a felt sense of safety in the body
Learn to nonjudgmentally observe thoughts, emotions and sensations
Balance the nervous system to release stress and reduce anxiety
