After two sold-out shows earlier this year, Good Good is bringing Off Book back to Philly – this time at Underground Arts for one night only! Off Book is a podcast where Jessica McKenna, Zach Reino and a special guest create a new musical on the spot each week. The show has been praised by The AV Club, Vulture, USA Today, Parade and more. Off Book has been performed live at the world-renowned Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, Seattle’s Bumbershoot Festival, Comedy Central’s Clusterfest Festival and Tig Notaro’s Bentzen Ball in Washington, D.C. Guests have included Rachel Bloom, Nicole Byer, Paul F. Tompkins, Lauren Lapkus, Scott Aukerman, Taran Killam, Bowen Yang, D’Arcy Carden, Hollywood Handbook’s Sean Clements & Hayes Davenport and many others.
Zach Reino and Jessica McKenna are better known as the musical comedy duo The Zach and The Jess. They’ve written musical sketches for Party Over Here, Buzzfeed, FunnyOrDie, Nickelodeon, and they created and starred in Serious Music, a digital series for ABC. Zach and Jess recently had the honor of making Vulture’s 2018 list of Comedians You Should and Will Know.
“Every entirely re-listenable song, and the way characters fold into each other’s narrative, is awe-inspiring and totally delightful.” – The AV Club
“Every episode of Off Book is an amazing feat of comedic and musical synchronicity — even the ads are must-listen.” – Vulture
NOTE: This event will take place at Underground Arts, located at 1200 Callowhill St (12th & Callowhill).
