Best Day of My Life So Far, a non-profit organization that works to empower older adults to tell their stories and open up about their deeper thoughts and feelings, will be having their 10th anniversary storytelling day to showcase their work over the last 10 years.
The day will have a variety of intergenerational storytelling activities, live readings and video screenings, and community photos and stories. Best Day of My Life So Far started out as a six-week program lead by founder Benita Cooper to help older neighbors tell their life stories to reduce older-adult isolation. Now 10 years later, Best Day’s volunteer basis has grown and helps hundreds of older adults tell their story.
