Making Local Anesthesia Stick


The Dental Hygiene Program proudly presents: Making Local Anesthesia Stick! Get an overview of the pharmacology and therapeutics of local anesthetic agents while earning 3 CEUs!

Due to their potential for producing life-threatening systemic adverse reactions, a thorough knowledge of the pharmacological and clinical properties of local anesthetic agents is essential for their safe and effective use.

The course will be presented by Thomas Viola, R.Ph., C.C.P. In addition to his daily practice of the profession of pharmacy, Thomas Viola also serves the professions of dentistry and dental hygiene as an educator, professional speaker and published writer in the areas of oral pharmacology and local anesthesia.

A dental hygienist who holds a local anesthesia permit shall complete three of the required 20 hours of continuing education in courses related to the administration of local anesthesia, including pharmacology or other related courses.

Join us on February 16, 2019 from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, in Science Center Room 213 on Montco’s Central Campus in Blue Bell.
