“Addressing students’ basic needs: why, how, and what now?” Sara Goldrick-Rab discusses the challenges of food and housing insecurity experienced by at least half of all community college students.
Dr. Sara Goldrick-Rab is a Professor of Higher Education Policy and Sociology at Temple University, and Founder of the Wisconsin HOPE Lab, the nation’s only action research laboratory seeking ways to make college more affordable. She is also known for her innovative research on food and housing insecurity in higher education, having led the three largest national studies on the subject.
Come and join us on Monday, Nov. 5, in Montco's Science Center Theater, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell with a live simulcast to North Hall Room 218, West Campus, 101 College Drive, Pottstown.
The lecture will be held from 12:20 to 1:20 p.m. in Science Center 213 and will be followed by a Meet and Greet in the Science Center Lobby from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m.
