Welcome to Laurel Hill Cemetery

From the warm comfort of Laurel Hill's gatehouse, travel via this slide lecture, to the final resting places of some of Philadelphia's - and the nation's – historic notables. Laurel Hill is the eternal home to forty Civil War generals, six Titanic passengers, numerous industrial magnates now residing on 'Millionaire's Row', and another 75,000 souls each with his or her own story to tell.

From beloved Phillies radio announcer, Harry Kalas, to the many long-forgotten souls displaced from Philadelphia churchyards, you'll learn why Laurel Hill Cemetery's historical importance earned a designation as a National Historic Landmark, and why Laurel Hill continues to be recognized for its innovative programming supporting preservation.

The lecture will take place on Saturday, January 11 at 1:00 pm, at Laurel Hill Cemetery's Gatehouse at 3822 Ridge Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19132. Free parking is located in the lot across the street from the Gatehouse.
