Common Threads 7: Sanctuary Opening Reception

“Common Threads 7: Sanctuary,” tells a story of American artists, who were not born in America, but instead chose to become American citizens. Common Threads 7 is a celebration of the rich tapestry of immigration and the American story. C.a. Shofed’s Common Threads was established in 2013, to showcase the work of Trenton area artists and artists influenced and inspired by the Trenton art scene. It was forged to empower these artists to build bridges beyond Trenton's borders and to foster economic development and prosperity. The exhibit will open on January 24, 2019, and run through February 23, 2019. An opening reception featuring food vendors and various artisans selling their merchandise will be held on January 26th from 11am to 5pm. The BSB Gallery is located at 143 E. State Street in Trenton, NJ.

Participating artists in the exhibit include Daniele Ballerini, Alia Bensliman, Chee Bravo, Daniela Brozkova, Brigitte A. Calderon, Amy Louise Lee, Vinita Mathur, Kata Mejia, Abelardo Montano, Abbas Wiswall. A panel discussion featuring participating artists will take place on February 9, 2019, from 1pm to 3pm. BSB Gallery has partnered with Artworks Trenton for this very last rendition of Common Threads. Each of the exhibiting artists will also be featured in the ArtLab Gallery of Artworks in tandem with our exhibit at BSB Gallery.
