This event allows whole families (including the four-legged children) an opportunity to walk and run on the beautiful University of Southern Indiana campus. The Doggie Dash 1K, 3K and 5K course supports the health and well being of the Evansville community and provides hands-on experience for USI students. Through the Doggie Day Walk or Run, USI will partner with local organizations and businesses to develop partnerships that will potentially boost community participation on the USI campus.
A portion of the proceeds from the Doggie Dash will be given to It Takes A Village No-Kill Rescue.

Contests
Please arrive at the registration booth by 8 am to be judged for the contest
Best Dog Costume - (please arrive at the registration booth by 8 am to be judged for the contest)
Most Creative Dog Family/Team (must include at least one dog and two people)
Free Items and Awards
Each registration includes a doggie bag with fun pet items and an event t-shirt.
DOGGIE DETAILS
Dog owners must provide proof of dog's up-to-date immunizations
Dog owners must be with their pet at all times
Dogs must be on a leash and under the owner's control at all times
Dogs are not allowed inside any University building
Dog owners must clean up any dog litter (disposable doggie bags will be available at registration check-in).
Strollers and wagons for both human and canine family members are permitted on the grounds and dog walk or run course. Those using strollers and wagons are asked to be mindful of others sharing the course.
The University reserves the right to ask any participant to leave the event if, in the sole opinion of the organizers or USI Public Safety, they or their dog(s) pose a threat to other participants (including other dogs), or if they or their dog(s) are disruptive of the event.
In order for pet owners to bring their adorable friends out, we need to ensure a few things:
Dog owners must acknowledge that dog(s) immunizations are up-to-date, and be able to provide proof of such immunizations before participating.
Dog owners must be with their pet at all times.
Dogs must be on a leash and under the owner’s control at all times.
Dogs are not allowed inside any University Building
Dog litter must be picked up by the dog’s owner. Please come prepared to clean up after your dog should they need to relieve themselves (dog waste bags will be available at registration check-in but bring extra in case your dog needs it)! Organizers will be prepared to assist participants with a disability.
