Trinity United Methodist Church invites you to experience history come alive with a special historical reenactment. John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, will be portrayed by United Methodist Pastor Rev. Bert Kite of Indianapolis.
This event will take place at Trinity United Methodist Church as a part of the church’s year-long Bicentennial Celebration. Admission is free, and families are warmly encouraged to attend.
John Wesley, born in 1703, was the son of an Anglican priest and is renowned as the founder of the Methodist movement. A graduate of Oxford University's Lincoln College, Wesley’s life was marked by tireless dedication to his faith. He traveled over 250,000 miles on horseback, preached more than 50,000 sermons, and played a pivotal role in establishing a movement that would grow into a global church, now numbering in the tens of millions of followers.
For over twenty years, Rev. Bert Kite has brought Mr. Wesley to life through dynamic presentations at Annual Conferences, District Meetings and local church gatherings. His portrayal captures the spirit and passion of Wesley’s ministry, offering a powerful and educational experience for audiences of all ages.
