Good Friday Service
Through Scripture reading and song we will allow our hearts and minds to dwell on the suffering and sacrifice of Jesus at the cross. A Tenebrae service is also called a service of shadows, due to the dimming of the lights in the sanctuary as the service progresses. As our readers recount the passion narrative through Scripture reading, we are drawn deeper into what Jesus endured on His journey to Calvary. Readings are interspersed with songs and worship both new and traditional and the evening ends celebrating the Lord's Supper. Come and prepare yourself for the joy of the resurrection on Sunday by pausing to worship at the foot of the cross on Friday!
