The event will take place on Wednesday, June 12th at 2 pm – 5 pm. Located at 500 North Green St., Henderson (tours are available).
Highlights of the sober summer open house include presenting awards to patients who have succeeded in lasting sobriety. BrightView Health’s community outreach manager will also recognize community partners that made contributions to the fight against substance use disorder (SUD).
In the past three years, the BrightView Henderson team has helped over 1,000 area residents work toward recovery, through 3,561 hours of medical treatment and approximately 8,284 hours of counseling and therapy. BrightView Health clinicians and counselors serve patients six days a week and provide ongoing support that addresses the whole person, treating addiction through biological, sociological, and psychological means.
“During our sober summer open house, we will be sharing nice cold drinks and mocktail recipes for those who attend because what is summer without parties, family reunions and barbecues?” said Karen Tapp, Community Outreach Manager. “We want people in Henderson to know these celebrations may include those struggling to stay on their recovery journey and we are here to help them with options this summer and throughout the year.”
There will also be opportunities to interview Karen Tapp, BrightView’s Community Outreach Manager, about a wide range of issues:
• Recovery and addiction trends in Henderson County.
• What patients think is crucial to successful recovery.
• In-depth tour of the center and steps taken when a person walks through the door.
BrightView's Henderson center is easy to access and accepts walk-ins until 3 pm weekdays, offers same-day appointments. People or families seeking help can call BrightView at 833-510-HELP (4357) 24-hours a day, seven days a week, or schedule an appointment online at brightviewhealth.com. For patients in withdrawal, it takes less than 4 hours from the time they walk through the door to receive stabilizing medication, complete their first counseling session, and begin lasting recovery.
