Peleliu Honor Challenge: Downtown Treasures Tour
Anyone can sign up for this tour regardless of whether you participate in the challenge or not!
Join us for a free virtual athletic challenge that honors the brave soldiers of the Battle of Peleliu. Participants will complete daily exercises while learning about the battle's history, complemented by Tom Lea's eyewitness depictions of WWII.
In partnership with Team Red, White, and Blue through their app, this free experience blends physical endurance with historical reflection.
For those taking part in the challenge, a special tour of Downtown El Paso will also be offered, followed by a social lunch. Participants can join in-person sessions at the Veterans One Stop Center.
Downtown Treasures Tour: Join us for a guided walking tour of Downtown El Paso with Holly Cobb, Executive Director of the Tom Lea Institute. Explore iconic sites like Tom Lea’s former studio in the D.W.S. Hills Building, and San Jacinto Plaza with its famous Los Lagartos sculpture. Discover how public art, history, and hidden stories bring the city’s vibrant culture to life.
