Three of these species, the Western Diamond-backed, Eastern Black-tailed, and Rock Rattlesnakes can be found in the mountains of the northern Chihuahuan Desert. These species all make a living in the same areas, and have interesting and unique ecologies. We will discuss this, public perception, and some research on all three of these species from the Indio Mountains Research Station in Hudspeth County, Texas.
