El Paso Ballet Theatre The Nutcracker Auditions
The Nutcracker is an annual production performed by El Paso Ballet Theatre at UTEP's Magoffin Auditorium. Dancers casted in The Nutcracker will be required to perform in eight shows: four will be undergone during the school day for students across El Paso's school districts and four performed for the general public during the December 6-8. This year's performance will be accompanied by a live orchestra conducted by Francisco Javier Renteria, giving students the opportunity to learn how to work with live music.
Registration fee for auditions is $5.00 and times for each age group to audition are displayed below (all experience levels are welcome):
Ages 6-7: 10:00 - 10:30
Ages 8-9: 10:45 - 11:15
Ages 10-11: 11:30 - 12:00
Ages 12-13: 12:15 - 12:45
Ages 14+/on pointe: 10:00 - 11:30
