A few years ago I had the opportunity to launch a new party in Philadelphia - BOOMBOX. I wanted this party to celebrate the retro electro dance jams starting with the godfather Giorgio Moroder and traveling through the final years of the 20th Century - plus a hefty nod to classic Disco tracks that laid the foundation for it all to come together!
This is music that cannot be forgotten and, having lived through much of it ... this mission is personal!
After a several month hiatus, I am beyond excited to bring back the classics in a new home - smack dab in the belly of the beast where it all began decades earlier. I hope that all those fans of classic dance sounds from the 1970s and 1980s will join me as BOOMBOX! Retro Electro Jams w/ DJ Robert Drake rises like a phoenix into the warm embrace of Club Mousai!
Located steps from 13th & Walnut, Club Mousai is Philly's newest nightspot - and when I'm there we'll be immersed in a sea of strings and happy harmonies along with that infamous 4/4 beat that gave us all those glorious memories years ago! Keeping the drinks flowing are the always charming Rick McIntire, Rich Yodis and Peter Joseph Genao ?
