What: Very simply, Evansville Restaurant Week is a celebration of local Restaurants and Chefs. It is modeled after events in larger cities, some of which have been held since the early 1990’s. (New York was the first).

Why: The purpose of Restaurant Week is to get foodies and the general public to dine out, and to champion and support locally owned small businesses! We want you to try new foods, new restaurants and new experiences! Visit a restaurant you have never been to, try a dish you have never tried – step outside of your comfort zone and enjoy all of the great culinary experiences our local restaurants offer!

We also want to support and champion the Sponsors of Evansville Restaurant Week, as they support the local restaurants and foodies! We have worked very hard to make sure that our Sponsors complement and support the food industry, or that they make your dining experience safer and more enjoyable. Beer, wine and spirits go hand-in-hand with great food! A Livery service after enjoying drinks with dinner all make your dining experience that much better and safer! The public being able to shop at a local gourmet kitchen store and take cooking classes may help them recreate their favorite dishes at home! A beer that used to be brewed in Evansville gives the event some nostalgia and ties the city together. A local online resource of 14,400+ foodies can help you decide where to dine out, as well as to stay up to date on the latest restaurant news, openings and closings.

In 2016, we raised $3,000 for these charities: It Takes A Village No-kill Canine Rescue, 911 Gives Hope and Tri-State Food Bank.
