Career Change Masterclass for Michigan Teachers Searching for New Professions
Michigan teachers ready for a career change can turn to a virtual career coaching program this summer. MyCoach for Teachers is a masterclass group of four online sessions helping teachers explore how they can utilize their many skills in a new form of employment. The program, offered by Gesher Human Services, will take place from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on July 9, 11, 16 and 18. The course fee is $50, and teachers will be given assessments to identify their skills and strengths for a new career path, take a career inventory, discuss toxic work environments and how that can impede a job search, build their confidence and gain hope for the future with their coaches. The program will also provide resume assistance, job search advice and opportunities for professional growth. For more information go to the events page at geshermi.org. Registration is required.
