The Zekelman Holocaust Center (The HC), hosts a thought-provoking lecture by Dr. Kate Marrison, an international expert in Holocaust studies. “Holocaust Memory in the Digital Age” will explore the evolving role of artificial intelligence, social media, and other emerging technologies in shaping how we remember and teach the Holocaust.
Dr. Marrison’s research focuses on how digital tools—such as virtual reality, video games, interactive survivor testimonies, and 3D modeling—can create new ways to engage with history and fight Holocaust denial. A leading scholar in the field, Dr. Marrison will offer insights into how institutions like The HC can continue to preserve Holocaust memory in an era where direct survivor testimony is becoming increasingly rare.
This event is made possible by the generous support of Robin and Leo Eisenberg, PNC Foundation, Roslyne Gitlin, Sandy Lefkofsky, Karen Keidan Myerson, and Fay Siegel.
A dessert reception will follow the program.
