Enjoy tea and delicious nibbles at the elegant Newton of Ypsilanti, prepared by Chef Allison Anastasio. Jeannette Gutierrez of the American Rosie the Riveter Association will help you assemble your own keepsake Rosie pendant necklace at this special Make and Take event, no skills or experience required.
Meet real WWII Rosie the Riveters.... these women are living history!
Learn why Rosie the Riveter is so important and see examples of the Sweetheart Jewelry of WWII. Rosie the Riveter personified the We Can Do It spirit that rallied Americans in support of the World War II effort. Respectfully known as the Greatest Generation, they help bring history alive through their stories and patriotic spirit. Don't miss this chance to meet them and enjoy a fun afternoon at the historic Newton House!
