The LTU Scholarship Gala: Celebrating the Spirit of Giving
Lawrence Technological University will present “The LTU Scholarship Gala: Celebrating the Spirit of Giving,” its first gala to advance scholarship funding, honor deserving students, and recognize outstanding alumni. The event includes cocktail reception, formal dinner, open bar, silent auction, entertainment as well as awards and speakers who have impacted LTU and the region.
Fox 2 News reporter and anchor Charlie Langton will host the gala, which begins at 6 p.m. June 1, at The Mint at Michigan First Conference Center, 27000 Evergreen Road in Lathrup Village.
All proceeds raised through ticket sales go directly to student scholarships, making a highly sought-after STEM education possible for students at all levels of education, with a strong focus on underserved communities.
“We are a private university,” said Kevin Finn, vice president for philanthropy and alumni engagements at LTU (pictured) . “We do not receive state funding. Yet, we work hard to make it possible for students to afford a high-quality education. We’re looking to our alumni, industry partners and the community to join us in this worthy investment.”
Lawrence Technological University is dedicated to enhancing STEM access for students at all levels of education, especially those in underserved communities. This event is one way in which LTU is working to create much-needed scholarship funding for students today and into the future.
