Third Annual Black Owned Media Weekend
The Third Annual Black Owned Media Weekend, hosted by The Black-Owned Media Equity and Sustainability Institute (BOMESI), aims to unite and advance Black-owned media businesses. This year's event features keynote speaker Debra Lee, former Chairman and CEO of BET, alongside notable panelists including Rashad Robinson, Shenan Reed, Jason Rosario, Tarshena Armstrong, and more. The conference, held from June 6th to June 8th, 2024, at The Beacon in Detroit, Michigan, will commence at 10:00 a.m. ET on Thursday, June 6th, 2024, and continue until 7:00 p.m. ET. On Friday, June 7th, 2024, the event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 7:40 p.m. ET, and on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. ET. It focuses on building capability, connections, and infrastructure to expand the potential universe and total investment with Black-owned and diverse-owned media platforms. The goal is to increase the number of Black-owned media companies and establish long-term partnerships with top advertisers.
