Clinicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in the fields of family medicine, internal medicine, and obstetrics & gynecology are invited to attend the "Find it before you Feel it" Breast Cancer Screening Symposium on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12 PM at the MSU Management Education Center, located at 811 W Square Lake Road, Troy, MI 48098.
This symposium, powered by Operation Breast Density, is dedicated to educating healthcare practitioners on the importance of early detection through breast cancer screening. By focusing on breast density education and the challenges of imaging women with dense breasts, this event aims to provide crucial guidance to clinicians in various fields, including family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, as well as nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Our distinguished speakers include Jeffrey Falk, MD FAC, Breast Surgical Oncologist and Medical Director of the Breast Program at Ascension St. John, who will discuss screening guidelines, and Shoshana Hallowell, MD FAC, General & Breast Surgeon, and CEO of Operation Breast Density, who will delve into breast density. Additionally, Versha Pleasant, MD MPH, Clinical Assistant Professor of OB-GYN and Director of the Breast Health & Cancer Genetics Clinic at the University of Michigan, along with Evita Singh, MD, Radiologist and Associate Program Director at Karmanos Hospital, will share their insights on genetics & breast cancer and breast radiology, respectively.
