Corey Strong: A Holiday Concert for Rosie
Vocal stylist and recording artist Corey Strong rings in the season, accompanied on piano by William Bennett. The performance is Corey's gift to his friends the real Rosie the Riveters of WWII. The concert is the Rosies' gift to the community.
The Holiday Concert for Rosie will take place in the beautiful Morris Lawrence Auditorium at Washtenaw Community College. Free and ample parking onsite. There is no charge to attend, and no tickets are required, but please register on Eventbrite to reserve a spot.
The concert will be followed by an Afterglow Reception with complimentary light refreshments in the Atrium, where you'll get a chance to meet and greet the living heroes of World War II. "Rosie the Riveter' was the nickname for the many women who entered the workforce during WWII, to free up men to fight. Several real Rosies will be present, along with WWII Veterans. Come and meet the men and women who helped save the world!
