Leon & Lulu To Host Books & Authors Event
Leon & Lulu, the Clawson-based award-winning lifestyle store located in the historic former Ambassador Roller Skating Rink, will host a Books & Authors event featuring Michigan-based authors on Sunday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Michigan authors representing a wide range of genres, including historical fiction, inspirational, genealogy, mystery, young adult, biographies, and children's fun, will have their books on display and available for purchase.
"Leon & Lulu has supported the artistic community since 2006, and we are delighted to host Books & Authors, a benefit for the Oakland Literacy Council," said Mary Liz Curtin. "Come shake a writer's hand, buy a book and then maybe buy another one."
Participating authors can be found at https://leonandlulu.com/books-authors-march-2023. Plentiful free parking surrounds the store. Ten percent of the day's sales will benefit the Oakland Literacy Council.
Attendees are encouraged to visit the Three Cats Restaurant next to the Leon & Lulu store in the former Clawson Theater for brunch. The restaurant will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations can be made at Three Cats Restaurant Online Reservations | OpenTable.

Three Cats Restaurant was established in 2019 by Mary Liz Curtin and the late Matt Prentice. Located in the former Clawson Movie Theatre, Three Cats serves American-style cuisine with a small plate format. Also located in the restaurant is a wide assortment of greeting cards and Michigan-made products.
