Songwriters in the Round: Sunday Matinee Acoustic Concert

Sunday, February 18 | 2:00 pm | Hosted inside the Ferndale Library Singer/songwriter Dan Cafferty will lead/moderate an impressive showcase of talented folk musicians for a matinee concert hosted during the library’s regular hours. This event follows the formatting style known as “Songwriters in the Round,” where all four artists will be on stage simultaneously: one will perform a song, followed by the next writer, and then the next, and so on. Each songwriter can join in with another’s song, adding harmonies, contributing a guitar riff, or just listening. The performing artists include Dan Cafferty, Michelle Held, Emily Rose, and Steve Taylor. Dan Cafferty is a multifaceted artist with several unique projects spanning the genres of rock, R&B, soul, and funk. Michelle Held is a modern folk writer of songs for the struggling soul, with open-heart lyricism and a light-hearted presence. Emily Rose is a versatile composer and lyricist who records as a solo artist and often performs as a collaborator with several unique artists. Steve Taylor graduated from Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music in 1995 with a degree in songwriting and has written/recorded and produced several albums with various artists over the years, with both rock bands and as a solo acoustic artist. This is a free, all-ages event sponsored by the Friends of the Ferndale Library! No Registration Required
