ACCESS Presents: Spoken Word Open Mic Event
ACCESS, the largest Arab American community nonprofit in the nation, will host a Community Open Mic Night in observance of Mental Health Awareness Month.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and National Prevention Week always falls within the month. ASAP Coalition always had various events for each day of Prevention Week, including the Mental Health Fair at Dearborn High School, and will be in Lansing on May 16th for the Unite to Face Addiction Advocacy Day.
This year, ACCESS is hosting a poetry or open mic event on poetry, spoken word, or written song on Mental Health and Prevention. This would showcase and involve our youth group, possible Hope House members, coalition members, and staff. This event is open to the public.
The event will take place at the ACCESS Hope House on Tuesday, May 14. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and will start at 6 p.m. Each person would have 10 minutes.
