Free Farm Admission Week at Wilson's Orchard & Farm

Those who farm understand that every season is a bit of a gamble. A late frost, a sudden storm, or the delicate temperament of a variety can change everything. Last year we lost half our crop to two separate hailstorms. This year, in our first full year of operations at our Des Moines farm, the trees are loaded with fruit, the branches are bending under the weight, and the flavor is out of this world. We’re so grateful for this abundance that we’ve decided to open our gates wide for one full week. For one week only—during our peak Honeycrisp season, from September 3rd–7th, we’re waiving farm admission for all guests of all ages. Although our farm in Iowa City has been around since 1980, this is only our first full year at our Des Moines location. We ask everyone in our community to help spread the word. And for anyone interested in picking their own apples (especially if you love Honeycrisp), please take advantage of this unique opportunity and visit the farm this week!
