First Gentleman's BBQ
Iowa’s First Gentleman Kevin Reynolds will host a final summer barbecue at Terrace Hill on Thursday, July 9, from 5:30-7:30 pm. Guests will get a chance to meet and chat with the first gentleman, explore the first and second floors of the Residence, partake in lawn games, and enjoy delicious food prepared by the Terrace Hill chef.
The menu will consist of a traditional summer spread of BBQ pork and ribs, a variety of summer salads, and desserts.
Reservations are $30 per adult and $20 for children 12 and under + processing fees. Children ages 5 and under are admitted for free. Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite at https://thfirstgentlemanbbq2026.eventbrite.com or by calling the Terrace Hill office at 515-281-7205. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and ticket sales will end on Tuesday, July 7 at 12:00 pm.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Terrace Hill Partnership, the sole non-profit organization that supports necessary conservation and restoration projects for the Terrace Hill building and grounds.
