Central Iowa Independent Bookstore Day

Pick up your passport from any of the participating bookstores beginning on FRIDAY. To kick off the weekend, each store will be hosting a Cookie Crawl from 4 - 6 PM. You can order the special Indie Bookstore Day t-shirt designed by Dog-Eared's bookseller Bailey from Raygun. Proceeds from this shirt benefit IA Safe Schools, an organization providing resources and advocating for LGBTQ youth, teachers, and administrators and the families & communities of LGBTQ youth. If you get a stamp from each bookstore, there are OVER TWENTY opportunities to win a prize. Each of the participating bookstores are offering a $50 gift card and a $150 gift card! (You must submit your completed passport to the bookstore that you want to win a gift card from, so plan your indie bookstore weekend accordingly.) In addition to the gift cards, there will be one drawing from ALL of the submitted passports for a special selection of books & gifts donated by Denise Williams, our Indie Bookstore Day author ambassador. The Book Shoppe in Boone is our special BONUS bookstore this year. Anyone who visits this store will receive a free sticker.
