The Way Up - Onward and Upward: Supporting Leaders on The Way Up

For more than thirty-five years, The Way Up Conference has provided a space for higher education professionals in Iowa to strengthen their leadership and administrative skills. Created to support women in higher education, the conference has evolved to welcome and support all individuals who are committed to advancing leadership, equity, and excellence across institutions. The conference continues to provide meaningful value for presenters and participants, along with opportunities for networking and collaboration. The Fall 2025 Conference will celebrate thirty-eight years of growth, development, and connection. The Way Up Conference explores strategies institutions can use to identify, support, and promote diverse leaders; reviews state and national issues in higher education; fosters growth, development, and self-confidence among participants; and equips attendees with knowledge and skills to excel as leaders in higher education.
