Join Rich Leopold, Director, of Polk County Conservation for a talk Tuesday evening, November 7, at The Des Moines Izaak Walton League, 4343 George Flagg Parkway, Des Moines 50321. Rich will focus on the exciting progress at Easter Lake, update us on the Sleepy Hollow and Brenton Slough projects and more! Polk County Conservation's mission is to provide the citizens of Polk County with quality outdoor recreation, conservation education, and long term protection of Polk County’s natural heritage. In addition to over 10 years as Director of Polk County Conservation, Rich is a veteran conservationist with experience as the Assistant Regional Director of Science Applications at the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Director of Iowa DNR, and Executive Director of the Iowa Environmental Council. Admission for the talk at 6:45 is FREE and open to the public! Doors open at 5:30, with a Fish Fry Dinner available for purchase and service at 6.
