Join Steph Lane of Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors to learn how they work to empower young people through outdoor experiences & mentorship. Tuesday, September 17, 6:45 at The Des Moines Izaak Walton League 4343 George Flagg Pkwy, Des Moines 50321 (Intersection of George Flagg and Park). By using outdoor experiences as a platform to mentor young people of diverse backgrounds Pass It On is making a generational impact through the outdoors and passing on our outdoor heritage here in Iowa. Imagine you are 11 years old and just completed Hunter Education. You have been dreaming of the day that you get to go on your first hunt. But there is one problem. You do not have access to a place, do not have confidence to go on your own, and do not know someone who hunts to take you or your family. That is where Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors steps up! Steph Lane was born, raised, and currently resides in Eastern Iowa. Her love for hunting and the outdoors started at four years old, duck, deer, and turkey hunting with her Dad, Uncles, and Brother. She is an Archery instructor and also has mentored a number of men and women to get them out hunting. Admission to Steph's talk is FREE and Open to the Public, with dinner at 6 available for purchase.
