Carving Quest--A Tree Carving Scavenger Hunt in Beaverdale
On Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 1-4pm, the Beaverdale Neighborhood Association is hosting Carving Quest, a tree carving scavenger hunt. Join Beaverdale residents in touring through charming streets to discover the many inspiring and whimsical artworks that our neighborhood has to offer!
Participants in the hunt must solve clues to find 12 tree carvings in yards located throughout the Beaverdale Neighborhood in Northwest Des Moines. Volunteers will be on site at each carving location, from 1-4pm, to validate participants’ clue sheets with a special stamp. Participants who properly identify all or most carvings (as evidenced by the validation stamps) will be entered into a drawing for free prizes.
Carving Quest clue sheets will be available at no cost, beginning May 25th, 2024, online at https://www.beaverdale.org/news/bna-carving-quest/ or at the following local Des Moines businesses:
