We've Come a Long Way, Ladies!
As part of the Simpson College celebration of Women’s History Month in 2024, we are presenting a classical-based concert program that brings American history to life through music and connects audiences with American songs. The Women’s Suffrage Concert Program: We’ve Come a Long Way, Ladies! is presented by the solo touring company Of Thee I Sing: American Heritage Through Song. This award-winning program tours across the country and is endorsed by the National Endowment for the Arts. It is an interactive program designed to educate and entertain. It is accessible to a wide variety of community members. Audrey Johnson ’01 graduate of Simpson, the performer, is a classically trained singer who has carefully curated works that help reveal the struggle of the Women’s Suffrage Movement.
