Windows to Ireland: Embrace St. Patrick's Day with Music from the Celtic Lands

Strings of Brigid performs the most beautiful Celtic and folk music.  The group's repertory focuses on traditional Irish, Scottish and English songs (ballads, ghost stories, and songs from the sea). The Celtic harp is joined by an acoustic guitar and the occasional cello or violin, while the lead vocalist’s ethereal tones are often supported by gentle backing vocals. The group has released over a dozen singles on Spotify and other streaming platforms. Wild Beautiful Orchestra is a dynamic group of musicians based in Denver. For this program, the instruments will include a variety of winds (tin whistle, flute, oboe, recorder), percussion and strings. What makes our Celtic concert unique? We take traditional instruments and songs and present them in emotionally powerful new arrangements, performed by soulful vocalists and virtuoso players. Our intent is to create a memorable experience forthe listener which draws from both Folk and Classical traditions. This concert will make you smile, stir your heart, and put some spring in your step! Featuring traditional songs from Ireland and Scotland plus contemporary songs by Enya, Kate Rusby, U2, Peter Gabriel, Rose Betts, and The Cranberries. Trinity United Methodist Church is a beautiful historic venue in the heart of Denver. The sanctuary is accessible by elevator. Parking is free in the lot adjacent to the church.
