Conservation Conversation
Conservation Conversation is a public and free event taking place at the Tivoli Turnhalle Monday, March 27th at 5:30 pm. The main keynote speaker is celebrity conservationist Jemu Mwenda, from Olpejeta Conservancy in Kenya, who was also featured in the highly awarded documentary "Kifaru". He will be showing unreleased footage from his upcoming documentary, followed by a discussion about the big game conservation crisis in Kenya and how this impacts built environments for human societies. This will be followed by a lecture given by Girija Kulkarni on wildlife conservation in Colorado, particularly the ever-pertinent issue of grey wolf reintroduction. This event is tri-institutional, free of charge, and open to the public so please invite anyone and everyone! The focus is to spread the word about the importance of wildlife conservation and give people avenues to get involved.
We will have other local conservationists and Non-Profit Initiatives presenting on topics in Wildlife Crime, and conservation initiatives, followed by a panel Q&A.
