Highlands Ranch Genealogical Society November 2025 Program: Westward Migration
Join us at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at The Highlands Ranch LDS Stake Center, 9800 Foothills Canyon Blvd #B, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129 for a presentation of “Westward Migration: Basic Tools for Charting Their Course,” by Sylvia Tracy-Doolos.
How do we track a family constantly on the move in search of their corner of paradise? FAN research is the answer. Sylvia will show you how to effectively research your ancestors' Friends, Associates, and Neighbors to track them throughout their lives.
Sylvia Tracy-Doolos is a professional genealogist and has been the owner of New Leaf Genealogy for fourteen years. She’s the President of the Colorado Chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists, and the Wales, Ireland, Scotland, England Family History Society (WISE-FHS). Recently she retired as the President of the International Society for British Genealogy and Family History (ISBGFH) but still serves as the Membership Chair. She’s actively involved as a genealogical volunteer with the Denver Public Library and the Carbon Valley Library and is an active member of other family history organizations.
Arrive early at 6:30 p.m. for networking with fellow genealogists. You never know who might have an answer to your most perplexing research problem.
Also, if you would like help using FamilySearch and the many other resources of the Highlands Ranch FamilySearch Center for your genealogical research, FamilySearch experts will be available starting at 6 p.m., for anyone wanting to use them.
