Join us at 7:00 p.m., April 2, 2024, at The Highlands Ranch LDS Stake Center, 9800 Foothills Canyon Blvd #B, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129 for a presentation of “Beta Tester for Legacy: Overview of Legacy Family Tree Software,” by Legacy Beta Tester, Ron Taylor.
Ron Taylor became interested in genealogy while attending Brigham Young University in Salt Lake City. With a background in mathematics, he became interested in working on genealogy software in the 1970s and helped develop a computerized pedigree system that eventually became the prototype for the Personal Ancestral File (PAF) system that was released about 1983 by FamilySearch. When PAF was discontinued, he switched to working on Legacy Family Tree, although he has never been an employee of Legacy. He is a beta tester for the current version of Legacy Family Tree.
Arrive early at 6:30 p.m. for networking with fellow genealogists. You never know who might have an answer to your most perplexing research problem.
Also, if you would like help using FamilySearch and the many other resources of the Highlands Ranch FamilySearch Center for your genealogical research, Kevin Cope, the Center Director, will again be available starting at six p.m. to assist anyone who comes at that time.
We invite you to continue the genealogical conversation after the meeting over libations at Old Chicago, 1489 Park Central Dr, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129.
