Color, Shape, Sound: Free Family Event
Bring your family and explore the wonderful world of color, shape, and sound! Friends of Chamber Music invites families to enjoy this FREE family-friendly event featuring the Playground Ensemble. Saturday, April 5 at 11:30 AM. Look for us in the community area, first floor of the Stanley Marketplace, 2501 N. Dallas Street in Aurora. No tickets or reservations are necessary. - Make your own kazoos – we’ll have supplies and show you how.
- Compose your own musical masterpiece using colors and shapes, which our musicians will perform on the spot!
- Be a conductor – lead our musicians using easy “Soundpainting” hand-gestures.
- Visit our instrument petting zoo to try out string instruments, compliments of Luther Strings.
The Playground Ensemble, in Residence at Metro State University of Denver, is the Rocky Mountain Region’s premier new music group. They are professional musicians, composers, educators and fans dedicated to presenting chamber music as a living art form.
Friends of Chamber Music is the premier presenter of chamber music in the Denver area. For 70 years, FCM has presented an annual series of concerts, including string quartets, piano ensembles, soloists, and mixed ensembles.
