Snapshots
Snapshot: the photographic record of a momentary look.
Shape. Color. Shadow. Setting. Thought. Story. Memory.
Over the past year, travels filled my eyes with intriguing glimpses into other landscapes. From the trails of the Southwest to the slopes of Haleakala, the beaches of Iceland, the pathways of Giverny, the parks of Paris and the villages of Alsace and Aquitaine, I collected these snapshots and transformed them into lasting memories at the drawing board.

Plantae
This is an exhibit of paintings about plants and some of the science that allows them to flourish on our planet.
Plants surround us but we can only see what is visible to us. Many things are happening at the same time that we cannot see.
Photosynthesis, the green of chlorophyll, the chemistry of cellulose, the DNA that builds and carries the genetics of the plant, and even the atoms and subatomic particles are not apparent but are all important.
Like an iceberg, much of what creates a plant lies below the surface and is hidden from view.

Murmurings
Explorations in fragmentary storytelling: pieced-together bits of found poetry/text give voice to abstract elements, as word and image intermingle, in this series of evocative collage vignettes.
