Safe Car - Safe Driver
In recognition of National Teen Driver Safety Week (October 20–26), DriveSafe Driving Schools is hosting a FREE “Safe Car, Safe Driver” workshop for Adams County 12 students. This event aims to empower young drivers with the knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to stay safe and alert on the road.
The clinic will take place on Sunday, October 20th, at Mountain Range High School in the East parking lot. 12500 Huron St, Westminster, CO 80234
There will be two sessions available:
--10:00 AM to 11:20 AM
--12:00 PM to 1:20 PM
What Students Will Learn:
1. Safe Driving Skills/Mindsets: Engaging games that test reaction times and simulated experiences (such as using “drunk goggles” in an obstacle course) to understand the risks of distracted and impaired driving.
2. Car Care Basics: Practical lessons on how to change a tire, check oil levels, and understand essential vehicle maintenance.
3. Emergency Preparedness: Guidance on emergency procedures, roadside service, towing, and law enforcement interactions.
4. Vehicle Safety Features: Learn what makes a car safe, including under-the-hood basics and critical safety functions.
