The Spirit of the West 5K & Family Fun Dash, benefiting Westernaires
Swap those cowboy boots for your running shoes and join us for the fourth annual Spirit of the West 5K run / walk and Family Fun Dash!

5K events begin at 7:00AM, while the Family Fun Dash begins at 8:00AM. This hilly 5K course route loops through the Sixth Avenue West neighborhood, and concludes at the course starting point, Kyffin Elementary. Festivities and swag bags are provided to each registrant, and medals are awarded to 1st-3rd place finishers of each age class.
This event benefits Westernaires, a non-profit youth riding organization based in Golden, CO. Founded 75 years ago, Westernaires is comprised of over 1,000 dedicated young people, aged 9 to 19. Westernaires encourages self-respect, teamwork, responsibility, and leadership through horsemanship and family participation. Westernaires has proudly trained young people to use their talents and skills in the best traditions of the West.
