Philosophy of Death Discussion Session
Verbiage (reminder/info for anyone new with whom this message may be shared):
Please understand that this is emphatically not group therapy, grief recovery, or an opportunity to receive or to give healing – I’m am not a clinician, and, while clinicians are most welcome to attend, they are not to attend in clinician-mode. If you are working through death-related or other trauma, please seek out a clinician-guided “sharing circle” or other professional mental health care as appropriate. Personal anecdotes that go along with a question for the group or discussion points are 100% awesome, but please avoid monologue-ing and be attentive to the level of interest others are paying. 😊
This will be a special opportunity to discuss death-related topics in a safe, taboo-free environment. Please always maintain the highest level of respect for others and for points of view that may be very different from yours. Feel completely free to come and go as your interest and comfort level allows. The event usually takes some interesting twists and turns and branchings-out, and I encourage participants to split into smaller groups to talk about what interests them the most.
